Does anyone know any details about the old regal cinema (now tesco) in ormskirk i’m building a website about the town were i was born and would like to include both cinemas on there (even though the regal closed before i was born) as for the above piece about the pavilion god that brought back some great memories and thank you to those who posted it

I went to the Ormskirk Pivvy the night it closed ignominiously, with Friday the 13th part 2. I remember at the end of the performance, the usherette with a torch in one hand, and a rounders bat in the other.
I remember the mark on the screen too, like an elongated cross.

@Paul very noble feelings i think. Please plot your thoughts and make it in reality, i am awaiting to see what happens next. Regal is outstanding and old cinemas out there is a mark of heritage.

I lopve old buildings, I’m based in Bradford and we are spoilt for choice, every where you turn are old mills and Playhouses!!
