I remember working on the stage lighting there-the Gaiety when it had adelicolour board which was up in the wings
,Follow spot arcs where at back of the circle, great light, with good but oftern very stiff shutter , and rod burning controls ThE DIMMERS WERE ALL LEVERS,WHICH FITTED TO MASTER WHEELS POOR VISIBILTY OF STAGE,VERY DIFFICULT TO ANGLE PROC ARCH BAR LIGHTS-DUE TO DIFFICULT ACCESS Lighting thus,I was there in 1968,with Scout Gang Show-brought all lamps etc across on ferry, from Liverpool-MANXMAN.

Alas, they threw out the Delicolor before they got the taste for preserving equipment.

Yes I feared so, I liked the facility to light different areas -cyc proc arch, quickly cahnging colours on selected circuits linked to masrer wheels,I was used to purely wheels using a furse of Nottingham, board.Hard to service, but greast fun ,did get hort and apt to arc.I like last pic includes the Memory board I cut teeth om Strnd M24 series, which I had linked to its partner fx baord, and wired abck to piulsar rack THANKS FOR THE MEMORY

I did unearth a number of photos of Delicolor boards from the Furse archive. They are currently in our Administrator’s garage (and he recently died) so not readily available. In due course, though, I will check them to see if Douglas is amongst them.
