GALLERY- August 2004

This months gallery is another dip into the online archives of the Cinemationlist files and photos area, as previously carried out in May. Items often get posted to support a message thread and then get forgotten about for others to discover afresh.

This is from an era of experimentation when the Chief projectionist was able to control focus, rack & sound levels from the autitorium as well as communicate with the box via buzzers etc.

A mercury rectifier Octopus (or more accurately a hexapus) glass bottle very commonly found in Cinemas before solid-state rectifiers became common.
